The
brahmana descendants of
Bhrgu Muni were very pleased with
Bali Maharaja, who desired to conquer the kingdom of
Indra. Therefore, after purifying him and properly bathing him according to regulative principles, they engaged him in performing the
yajna known as
Visvajit.
