Indra, his honor having been insulted, poured water incessantly on
Vrndavana, and thus the inhabitants of
Vraja, the land of cows, were greatly distressed. But the compassionate Lord
Krsna saved them from danger with His pastime umbrella, the
Govardhana Hill.
