Please accept my blessings I beg to acknowledge receipt of your letter of July 14, 1973 and I have carefully studied the contents, I appreciate that you have sent me a complete report on all activities in your zone. It is certainly a greet responsibility Krsna has given you end by always sticking to our spiritual principles end always thinking end working to spread Krsna Consciousness in your area, He will give you all assistance.

I was particularly pleased to hear that our credit course is continuing in its fourth year at the University of Buffalo, now you should also try to introduce our books in all the schools and colleges by getting endorsement of the Educational Director. I am thinking especially of our small books like "Raja Vidya", "The Perfection of Yoga" in addition to our big books like the Gita and Bhagwatam. Try to approach educational officials because once they approve our books they will be introduced to all libraries and schools.

The report of Philadelphia Rathayatra is very pleasing. Twenty thousand people in an important city like Philadelphia is wonderful. We also had a gorgeous Rathayatra here, attended by 10,000. Enclosed find a clipping from the Guardian, so more and more festivals have to be held as often as possible. Lord Caitanya has stated that the chanting of the Holy Name is the only means for God realization in this present age. We see at our kirtans in the temple, that when there is kirtan immediately the boys and girls become ecstatic by chanting and dancing, and this can be true for everyone. By such festivals thousands of people can be induced to chant and take prasadam and feel transcendental bliss, So the Philadelphia Rathayatra is a very good report.

Regarding the plan to transfer children after 10 years old from Dallas to New Vrindaban, I have no objection. The elderly boys may go there as you describe. I have also asked Satsvarupa to send his opinion. So you can consult jointly and do it. Regarding plans for purchasing a boat, yes the idea is very nice. Try to get it donated if possible. But do not purchase an unfinished boat, we are not expert, and if we have to spend so much time finishing, what is the use? Get a boat you can use immediately.

Yes, if possible the Washington temple can install Radha Krsna and Lord Jagannath simultaneously. Yes, stress the challenge to the scientists against their wrong theory that life comes from matter. They are simply cheating people and drawing big salaries. Karandhar has also gone recently to a scientific meeting and defeated the speaker who claimed life comes from dust? he was forced to admit that for the present he really did not know if they could produce life from dust. The point is if we get them to even partially admit, then we have to find out the source of the original life, that ultimate source is stated in the Vedic literature as the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Sri Krsna, From Him comes the Purusa avatars who are the source of the life of the universe and from Them comes Lord Brahma who is the source of the life within the universe. There is no experience anywhere that life comes from matter, so you must present this strongly as the actual facts of science, which is Krsna Consciousness, This is the only movement which can combat atheism with clear concepts of God and the only movement which can actually benefit people, who are at present being misled by their so called political, scientific and religious leaders

So all in all your report was very complete; please continue to send them at least twice monthly very regularly. This is also a part of GBC responsibility to keep me informed how all the centers are doing in the zone,
