Please accept my blessings, I am in due receipt of your letter dated May 30, 1973 and have carefully noted the contents.

I am very pleased to note our progress in San Juan, Puerto Rico, that we have got a very good location and facilities, and that one boy, Raphael, is giving his car and $420/month. Yes you are right in saying that I want such big festivals as the Lord Caitanya festival in Atlanta to go on, you may encourage them more and more.

Regarding your proposal about Balavanta running for mayor of Atlanta. Yes, if you want to use the election as a preaching form, that is an excellent proposal. Our platform will be on our philosophy, not political propaganda. Yes you may invite all of these men that you mention to contribute their abilities. It is a very good idea to make the campaign a continuous festival of Prasad distribution, kirtan and preaching. And especially I will be pleased if my books are distributed profusely. This is a very worthwhile venture You have my full approval.

Upon your recommendation I am pleased to accept Satyanarayan and Jagajivan for brahminical initiation. Now hold a fire yajna for devotees only and in private play the tape of me reciting gayatri mantra into their right ear, and teach them how to count on their finger divisions.

Yes, I am improving my health, but I am simply praying to the Lotus feet of Krsna for giving you, the GBC and all of my disciples, protection, because now I am physically feeble. So I am praying to Krsna to give you full strength for carrying out this movement. People are suffering. The only hope for them is to become Krsna Conscious, and so you must push on this Krsna Consciousness Movement very seriously. Thank you very much.
