My Dear Rupanuga,
Please accept my blessings. I am in due receipt of your letter dated 8 Feb. 1973 and have noted its contents carefully. Your meeting with Kenith Keating appeared to be 1st class and this, type of public relations work I want to see more and more. So if it is possible you get him to write one letter of appreciation of our work throughout the world. This may be copied and sent to all the GBC members. Please try to keep in good touch with him for he is very important man and may be able to get some governments supper for us.
Amongst my god brothers in Mayapur, there is a rumor that the American Government has given me two crores of rupees to build the Mayapur Temple, so why not let us make if factual.
It is unfortunate that so many people have been misguided by mayayadi sannyasis in India. Actually they are the greatest enemies of God: therefore we must push on this movement of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu in order to drive them out.
Regarding my devotees wearing contemporary dress this is alright, but they should always look very respectable and even then this program should not become widespread. This is meant mostly for householders but when there is heed Brahmacaris may also do; but my sannyassis should not give up their dress.
I shall be returning to India by March 2nd and I expect you to be in Calcutta by then to serve as my secretary for one month. I hope this meets you in good health.
ACBS/ms
Your ever well-wisher,
A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami
PS. Please bring one portable typewriter for India current (220)
