My Dear Rupanuga,
Please accept my blessings. I beg to acknowledge receipt of your letter dated 28th September, 1971 and have noted the contents. The Dai Nipon estimate for Bhagavad Gita As It Is is accepted by Karandhar. So you can talk with Karandhar and do the needful. I hope by this time the manuscript layout is completely ready.
So far your tape library is concerned, that is a good idea. I have advised Aravind to send tapes and he will send them in due course. So keep all the tapes numbered and registered so that they can be immediately gotten out.
Yes, Sheelavati can go to different temples for a week or two and train them to look after the Dieties; cleansing, preparing food for them, etc. An inspector for this purpose, generally, may be appointed to look after the Diety worship affairs. We are establishing so many temples with Dieties. If the temple procedure is neglected it will be a farce. It is very very important to see that the Diety worship .is done strictly according to the regulative principles; cleansing, flowering, dressing, bathing, offering artik and bhog, etc.
Before the marriages take place, that declaration of no separation should be signed by the bride and bridegroom. Then whoever you recommend I will consent. But our Krishna Conscious marriages should not be a farce. I have got information from Germany that now Shivananda's wife has left him. So these things should not happen. Both the husband and wife should be very responsible; then they can marry. Enclosed also you will find three sacred threads duly chanted 4' and one bead for the devotees you recommended for initiation. I think you have one tape there of me reciting gayatri mantra, so you can hold a fire yajna as usual for all these initiations and marriages.
So far the $2,000. royalty check from Macmillan, you should send it immediately to Dai Nipon for depositing in the Bhaktivedanta Book Fund Deposit, either directly or through Karandhar.
We are still awaiting here the two black SKP members sent by you.
Hoping this will meet you in good health.
Your ever well-wisher,
A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami
