My Dear Rupanuga,
Please accept my blessings. 1 beg to acknowledge receipt of your letter March 22, 1969, and thank you very much for it. Regarding my engagements from 18th to 25rd of April in Buffalo: I have no objection but I think Brahmananda has arranged some meetings from the 8th to some date which I do not know, so I think you will have to immediately contact Brahmananda and arrange all this. I am going to San Francisco on the 51st of March, and you can reply me this letter in S.F. what arrangements you have made.
Regarding your question: Fourth chapter and 27th vs., according to yogic process of breathing exercise, there are 6 kinds of air circulation within the body, and the life force is called Prana Vaya. By this Prana Vaya, the soul is transferred or carried from one place to another and the perfect yogi at the time of death carries the soul on the top of the brain and passes through the Brahmarundra. So actually we haven't got to bother about the passing of the soul. It is the business of the yogis; we depend fully on Krishna for any arrangement He likes to do for His devotees. Stopping all breathing-that is also another process of the yogis, which is called samadhi. This stoppage of breathing does not mean death. It is a kind of yogic process by which they increase their life. Everyone has got a limited number of breathing, and the yogis practice to save such breathing and increase their duration of life. So there are so many processes which are actually carried and executed by serious yogis, but such things are not possible by ordinary man neither they are necessary for the Krishna Consciousness persons.
The Virata Rupa mentioned in the 5rd canto is not eternal form of the Lord. Virata Rupa is recommended for meditation to persons who cannot be made a devotee immediately. So far as Sambhu is concerned, Sambhu is not Virata Rupa. Virata Rupa is the form of Vishnu. Sambhu is Lord Shiva.
Just now I got telephone message from L.A, that I shall have to go there on the 6th of April, so I am asking Dinadayal in S.F. not to make any engagement beyond the 5th, so if I go to L.A., then I shall start for New York on the 8th. And the meeting of the 8th may be pushed to the 10th and then if he does not make further engagements after the 15th or 16th, then it may be possible for me to come there to Buffalo.
In other words, if he keeps me engaged up to the 16th only, then it will be possible to go to your place on the 18th as desired by you. So you can talk with Brahmananda and make suitable arrangement.
Hope this meets you all in good health, blessings to your wife, and to Mr. Eric and all the devotees there.
Your ever well-wisher,
A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami
