'ক্ষীরচোরা গোপীনাথ' প্রসিদ্ধ তাঁর নাম ।
ভক্তগণে কহে প্রভু সেই ত' আখ্যান ॥ ১৯ ॥

'ksira-cora gopinatha' prasiddha taṅra nama

bhakta-gane kahe prabhu sei ta' akhyana

SYNONYMS

ksira-cora gopinatha-the Gopinatha who stole the pot of sweet rice; prasiddha-very famous; taṅra nama-His name; bhakta-gane-to all the devotees; kahe-tells; prabhu-the Lord; sei ta' akhyana-that narration.

TRANSLATION

That Deity was known widely as Ksira-cora-gopinatha, and Caitanya Mahaprabhu told His devotees the story of how the Deity became so famous.
