yati hana jihva-lampatya--atyanta anyaya
yatira dharma,--prana rakhite ahara-matra khaya"
SYNONYMS
yati hanabeing a sannyasi; jihva-lampatyaindulging in satisfying the tongue; atyanta anyayagrievous offense; yatira dharmathe religious principle of a sannyasi; prana rakhiteto maintain life; aharafood; matraonly; khayaeats.
TRANSLATION
"For a sannyasi to indulge in satisfying the tongue is a great offense. The duty of a sannyasi is to eat only as much as needed to keep body and soul together."
