sri-suka uvaca
iti samstuvato rajno
visnu-cakram sudarsanam
asamyat sarvato vipram
pradahad raja-yacnaya
SYNONYMS
sri-sukah uvacaSri Sukadeva Gosvami said; itithus; samstuvatahbeing prayed to; rajnahby the King; visnu-cakramthe disc weapon of Lord Visnu; sudarsanamof the name Sudarsana cakra; asamyatbecame no longer disturbing; sarvatahin every respect; vipramunto the brahmana; pradahatcausing to burn; rajaof the King; yacnayaby the begging.
TRANSLATION
Sukadeva Gosvami continued: When the King offered prayers to the Sudarsana cakra and Lord Visnu, because of his prayers the Sudarsana cakra became peaceful and stopped burning the brahmana known as Durvasa Muni.
