Nobody can understand. Out of many millions and trillions of persons, one is interested how to make his life success. Otherwise they are not interested even. Like cats and dogs they are jumping here and there. That's all. And out of those persons who are interested, some may understand what is Krsna. So Krsna is not so very easily understood, but by the grace of Krsna we can understand Him if we follow. Krsna says in the Bhagavad-gita, mattah parataram nanyat kincid asti dhananjaya: [Bg. 7.7] "My dear Dhananjaya, there is no more superior power than Me, or greater than Me." So if we accept the statement of Krsna, then we understand Krsna immediately. Otherwise, by speculation, it is not possible. That is the fact. There are so many... Such a person, such a big, who is estimated as very, very big person, Mahatma Gandhi, he could not understand Krsna. From his writing we see. He said, "I don't believe that there was any person Krsna living ever." Just see. He could not understand. Similarly, Dr. Radhakrishnan, Tilak, so many big, big scholars, they have written comment on Bhagavad-gita, but they, still they have proved that they're rascal number one. Because they did not follow the process of understanding Krsna, therefore they could not understand. And here even a child, our Syamasundara's daughter, (s)he used to go to somebody and ask him, "Do you know what is Krsna?" He says, "No, I do not know." "He's the Supreme Personality of Godhead." Just see. And all these boys and children, they are learning so easily Krsna, and a person like Mahatma Gandhi, he said that, something different. You see? Just see. This is the position. (More...) So people may be astonished, that "They are reading Srimad-Bhagavatam. Why they are discussing the action and reaction of fire?" Generally, they think Bhagavata reading means rasa-pancadhyaya, bas, immediately jump over to the rasa-lila of Krsna. Actually to know God means to know everything in detail. Kasmin tu bhagavo vijnate sarvam idam vijnatam bhavati. That is the Vedic injunction. If we understand Krsna, then we must understand also how Krsna's different energies are working. That is called tattvatah. Krsna says in the Bhagavad-gita, manusyanam sahasresu kascid yatati siddhaye [Bg. 7.3]. The other day I was reading Gandhi's discourses on Bhagavad-gita. He said that "I can imagine any way Krsna. I do not accept the historical Krsna." In this way, so many things. He was a big man. He can say like that. But we cannot imagine or manufacture Krsna. That is not possible. That is not Krsna. God is never imagined or speculated or manufactured by my limited knowledge and limited senses. That is not Krsna. Of course, Krsna is everything. But if we want to know tattvatah Krsna, in truth, how Krsna has created the panca-bhuta and how each bhuta or each material element is working, that is being discussed. This is perfect knowledge, tattvatah. (More...) Prabhupada: Oh, we have got any experience? You have got any experience? Then, why do you say nonsense, this? You have no experience, and you say something nonsense, ludicrous. They say "nature." What is the nature? Nature is a machine only. Just like the harmonium. It is also machine. But if one expert operator is there, it makes very melodious, oh, nice. So will the harmonium play automatically? And bring melodious sound? So they have no common sense even; still, they are scientist. That is our regret. They are less than common sense man. That you have to expose, that these people have not even common sense, and they are passing on as scientist. That you must protest because you are servant of God, you are servant of the scientist. Call them directly rascal. Let them defend that they are not rascal. He brought some scientist. I called him, "You are rascal, you are demon. You are everything," (laughs) and he tolerated. That means internally he accepted that he is a rascal. (laughs) Actually they... They have no common sense even. So we are not scientist, but we speak from common sense. That's all. Yesterday or day before yesterday, I was talking on common sense on law points, so Rupanuga said that "You are bigger than lawyer." I do not know that I am bigger than lawyer, but I was speaking on common sense. The difficulty is they are misleading. So many people are being misled by the so-called politician and scientist and... But Gandhi says... He has written so many nonsense things. One thing is that he said, "I do not believe that there was anybody as Krsna living ever. Krsna is of my imagination." These things he has written. And he is Mahatma Gandhi. Mahatma's definition is there in the Bhagavad-gita, mahatmanas tu mam partha daivim prakrtim asritah [Bg. 9.13]. Mahatma means devotee, who have understood vasudevah sarvam iti [Bg. 7.19]. But these rascal politicians, they have become mahatma. For politics, they can do anything, lie like anybody, and so many things. There was a big writer in Bengal. So he is giving evidence in the court... That's a comic. So he says, "Do you think I am editor? I am pleader? I am prostitute?" Means indirectly he is saying that they are prostitutes. As the prostitute can say anything, lies, for their profession, similarly, these people, the editor and the..., pleaders, they are like that. "Do you think I am prostitute? Do you think I am lawyer? Do you think I am editor, newspaper editor?" So take this formula from the sastras that a living entity is never created. These rascals are trying to create living entity and spending money and going to hold big, big conference. So where is the question of creation? They are already created. Why this common sense do not come in their brain? Why? (More...) Link to this page: https://prabhupadabooks.com/?g=3518 Previous: [none] Next: [none]
