āpanāra hitāhita kichui nā jāni!
grāmya-vyavahāre paṇḍita, tāi satya māni
SYNONYMS
āpanāra—of my personal self; hita—welfare; ahita—inauspiciousness; kichui—anything; jāni—I do not know; grāmya-vyavahāre—in ordinary dealings; paṇḍita—a learned man; tāi satya māni—I accept that as truth.
TRANSLATION
"I do not know what is beneficial for me and what is detrimental. Nonetheless, in ordinary dealings people consider me a learned scholar, and I am also thinking of myself as such.
