(chanting of Srimad-Bhagavatam 2.3.24)
Prabhupada: All right. Hare Krsna, Hare Krsna... (japa)
Pradyumna: Now everyone can take the water which is in front of them when we say these prayers of purification and do just as I am doing. Take the spoon in your left hand... [break] (japa)
Prabhupada: So you know all the rules and regulations?
Devotee: No meat-eating, fish or eggs, no intoxication, no gambling, no illicit sex.
Prabhupada: Hm. And how many rounds you'll chant?
Devotee: At least sixteen.
Prabhupada: So your name is Vrajesvari dasi. Vrajesvari is the name of Radharani. Hare Krsna.
Syamasundara: Lois?
Prabhupada: (japa) What are the rules?
Lois: (indistinct) (recites rules)
Prabhupada: How many rounds you'll chant?
Lois: Sixteen.
Prabhupada: Minimum, yes? So, what is?
Syamasundara: Vrndavanesvari.
Prabhupada: So your name is Vrndavanesvari dasi. Vrndavanesvari is another name of Srimati Radharani.
Syamasundara: Sherry?
Prabhupada: (japa) Hm. Thank you. So what are the rules?
Sherry: No... (indistinct) (recites rules)
Prabhupada: That's all. How many rounds you will chant?
Sherry: At least sixteen.
Prabhupada: Minimum. So your name is Sikhandi dasi. Sikhandi is another name of Arjuna.
Syamasundara: Gail?
Prabhupada: (japa) So what are the rules?
Gail: No meat-eating, no meat, fish or eggs, no illicit sex ...
Prabhupada: So you're Satyadevi dasi. Satyabhama was one of the wives of Krsna. Hare Krsna. Then?
Syamasundara: Pravinacandra?
Prabhupada: Are you still impersonalist? (japa) What is this?
Pravinacandra: Uh, this is an (indistinct). I brought it for you.
Prabhupada: You are still impersonalist or personalist?
Pravinacandra: Not still impersonalist ... For the learning, I am learning still. I am not yet... I want to learn more.(?)
Prabhupada: All right. So, you know the rules and regulations?
Pravinacandra: Chanting sixteen rounds, no meat eating, no illicit sex life, no gambling and no drinking wine.
Prabhupada: What is?
Syamasundara: Pratibhanu dasa.
Prabhupada: Pratibhanu dasa. Hare Krsna.
Syamasundara: Sandy Waxner? Satyamadhava dasi. Her name's not on the list.
Prabhupada: Madhavi?
Syamasundara: Her name is not on the list that you gave me.
Prabhupada: Then Madhavi can, Madhavi it can be. Madhavi. So what are the rules and regulations?
Madhavi: No meat-eating, no intoxication, no (indistinct).
Prabhupada: So your name is Madhavi devi dasi. Madhavi is another name of goddess of fortune. Hare Krsna.
Syamasundara: Pierre?
Prabhupada: So what are the rules?
Pierre: No illicit sex, no gambling, no intoxication, no meat, fish, or eggs.
Syamasundara: Parvata Muni dasa.
Prabhupada: So your name is Parvata Muni dasa. Parvata Muni was a great friend of Narada Muni.
Syamasundara: This set of beads says Sandy Waxner on it also. Who is the other? There are two sets of beads. Who is left?
Prabhupada: What is her name? What? I'll give her name.
Syamasundara: Oh, Sandy.
Prabhupada: So your name is Sandipani dasi. Sandipani was the teacher of Krsna. Krsna, He's teacher of the whole universe, but He had also a teacher. This is the example in character, that one has to accept a teacher, a spiritual master. Krsna is giving knowledge. He's, His description is all knowledge. Samagra, full knowledge. But He is also going to a teacher's place to learn. Caitanya Mahaprabhu, He is Krsna Himself; He's accepting a spiritual master, Isvara Puri. Sri Caitanya... Sri-krsna-caitanya... Isvara... That means Isvara Puri became glorified by Caitanya Mahaprabhu's acceptance of him as spiritual master. But this is the etiquette, this is the Vedic principle, that even if you are God, if you, even if you know everything, still, you have to accept a teacher, a spiritual master. That is the Vedic system. So what are the rules?
Sandy: No meat, fish or eggs, no gambling, no intoxication, no illicit sex.
Prabhupada: All right, come on. So Sandipani dasi. Hare Krsna. (end)
