sarvabhauma kahe,--o-patha kahite na pari
SYNONYMS
dui-artheby two interpretations; krsnaLord Sri Krsna; kahiI accept; kenewhy; pathareading; phirichanging; sarvabhauma kaheSarvabhauma replied; o-pathasuch a reading; kahiteto say; nanot; pariam able.
TRANSLATION
"Since I can understand Krsna according to these two meanings," Caitanya Mahaprabhu said, "what point is there in changing the verse?" Sarvabhauma Bhattacarya replied, "I was not able to give that reading to the verse.
