ভক্তগণে প্রভু নাম-মহিমা কহিল ।
শুনিয়া পড়ুয়া তাঁহা অর্থবাদ কৈল ॥ ৭২ ॥

bhakta-gane prabhu nama-mahima kahila

suniya paduya tahaṅ artha-vada kaila

SYNONYMS

bhakta-gane-unto the devotees; prabhu-the Lord; nama-mahima-glories of the holy name; kahila-explained; suniya-hearing; paduya-the students; tahaṅ-there; artha-vada-interpretation; kaila-did.

TRANSLATION

Once the Lord explained the glories of the holy name to the devotees, but some ordinary students who heard Him fashioned their own interpretation.
